This was a wedding that I did a few years ago. I had the blessing
of being at a friends wedding and experience the true love that they had for
each other. It was also a blessing to be able to shoot a wedding of the purple
and white colors. I feel as over the time, my skills and knowledge of weddings
grew. Weddings are important events and milestones for people. Every wedding that
I shoot, I shoot, as it was my wedding and what people want to see.
Joe Rodgers, is known to his friends as "Sharp Shooter" when it comes to his photography skills. He is very quick with capturing the precise moments that people want to see. He loves to experience with camera angles and hopes that one day he can work for National Geographic.

New Series
I’m starting a new
series titles "The Self Portraits of a Rising Star". I am doing these
portraits because I feel like I never shoot me. I hating being in front of the
camera, however I love being behind the camera and telling people how to pose
or whatever it is I’m shooting. I need to express myself with these photographs
and there will be a detailed description that goes with every photo.

Statement
I use
photography as a means of self-expression. Sports photography captures the
action and movement of athletes in their field of play. Being able to capture
that split second of action and excitement, in my pictures is why I choose to
shoot this genre of photography. My work consists of shooting from the first
kick off of preseason to the final second of the Super Bowl; From the first
pitch of spring training to the last out of the World Series; From the first
tap off of the MLS to the final whistle of the World Cup; And of course from
the tip off of preseason basketball to the last slam of the Finals. These
moments are what I work so hard to capture and when captured there is nothing
more exciting to my viewers or myself.
The next part of my work is very different, but at the same time can be just as eventful, exciting, and detailed. I often ask myself what the perfect picture is, and I often think to myself that perfect picture is a picture that fills the viewer with some sort of emotion. This side of my work incorporates wildlife and their natural habitats. No image can warm someone’s heart more than seeing a mama bear tend to her cub; a robin feeding her babies; or even a lion bringing food to her cubs. Each image should be viewed as a stepping-stone to the next. Therefore, while the moment attracts the attention of the viewer, my goal is to ultimately hold their attention.
The final
part of my photography has to deal with the ins and outs of fashion. The
fashion world continues to grow every day with new designs, new color ways, or
the smallest detail. I feel that fashion is sometimes over looked in the
photography world. People tend to say oh there’s another photographer for
clothes. NO. Yes it has a big part about the clothes, however, what if the
clothes aren’t there? What do you have now? You have a model that is posing for
you without the clothes. My intent to capture fashion is not only to draw that viewer
to see the clothing and the smallest stitch of that Gucci handbag or the pair
of red Balenciaga sneakers, but to show how the model themselves bring their
own creative visual to the scenes to make the product POP.

Quantia
Quan is one of my
favorite models I love to shoot. Her personality is one of the reasons why I
like shooting with her. She brings out the best in a photographer.
When she's in front of the camera, I really don’t have to say much
because she has so much experience with modeling. When I tell her the look that
I’m looking for in a concept, she knows how to pose and react to the camera.

Sneakers
I love sneakers. But when I tell you that this girl loves
sneakers, this girl loves sneakers. Chloe lived with me for about four months,
and she had her own corner of the room dedicated to her sneakers. Yes
sneakerhead problems. Every morning she would ask herself, or me "What
shoes should I wear today to work?" since she worked at FootLocker. It's
always a joy to see different color ways and styles that would come out that
week.
One night, Chloe and I were so bored that I said to her, "Hey lets have a photoshoot!" So she put on her purple Huff socks on and then her Air Jordan Concords and we went to the alley right behind my house and took these pictures. I edited them all and posted them for your enjoyment.
